Introducing Senior Matrix Master Trainer, Matt Gleed
Over the coming weeks, Matrix Fitness will be introducing our master trainers, ambassadors and partners, giving you an insight into their lives and achievements and introducing top training tips from the pros. Our first insight is from Senior Master Trainer – Matt Gleed.
Matt is a Senior Matrix Master Trainer, TRX, Power Plate, and Wattbike Master Trainer and has been an International Educator within the fitness industry for 16 years.
Throughout his career, Matt has worked with high profile sports organisations and athletes, including 4 Premiership Football Clubs, a number of Team GB Athletes and a number of national health club chains. In September 2016, Matt was a guest speaker to 400+ attendees at the European Medical Conference in Romania and is a specialist guest lecturer for the Physiotherapy degree students at the University of Brighton.
Matt represented Matrix Fitness at the recent British Universities Colleges Sport Conference 2017 (BUCS), running workouts for delegates with the S&C coach for Wigan Warriors – Ian Bentley. His motivating workouts and in-depth knowledge of the fitness industry proved a success, with the delegates coming back the following day for more.
Matt was nominated for Fitness Professional of the Year in 2013 and has contributed to many fitness articles and features in magazines, newspapers and on TV. His work with individual clients, personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches and health operators has inspired many.
In the early stages of his career, Matt moved to California as a sports coach coordinating tennis programs for UCLA and Soccer UK before returning to the UK to move up through a management pathway via a couple of leading Health Club chains. Enjoying endurance events including marathons & ultra marathons placing 3rd in a national event he is currently starting to work on more disciplines to compete in triathlons working towards more Ironman events.
