Official Network Sponsors of CIMSPA Conference 2017

At Matrix, we’re really looking forward to the CIMSPA conference this year, as official network sponsors for the second year running!

We’re big believers that the sector is stronger working together, which is why we recognise the importance of supporting CIMSPA’s ongoing sport, fitness and physical activity sector workforce development project.

As a supplier of high quality, best value gym equipment, and a total solutions partner to every customer we supply,  we see first hand the benefits of investing in quality.  And with the introduction of the first professional standards set out by CIMSPA, we’re interested to find out the impact this will have on everyone working in the industry…

Where it’s at…

This year’s headline conference for all professionals within the sport, fitness and physical activity sector sees CIMSPA and event partners, Quest NBS, join forces to bring industry knowledge, advice and expertise to all across the sector.

The conference – which will take place on 14th & 15th March at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth – will play host to a range of informative and engaging seminars, key note speeches from high profile speakers, and opportunities to get in on the debate as sector experts examine apprenticeships, diversity, professional standards and the skills agenda.

Quest NBS – the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure – will be providing conference content for Day One, with the Day Two conference programme led by CIMSPA – the chartered professional body for the UK’s sport, fitness and physical activity sector.

The Highlights…

The CIMSPA conference will offer a full day of keynotes, seminars and panels, with specialised choices available for delegates.

Influential speakers from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and CIMSPA and Premier Global will be opening and closing the conference with inspiration and smart insights into the sector’s workforce reforms and the impact the new professional standards.

A panel of industry professionals will be kicking off the debate on a variety of current issues facing the sport, fitness and physical activity sector, drilling down to debate the positive payoff of investing in staff skills and training and the impact the first professional standards set out by CIMSPA will have on everyone working in the industry in both staking out the boundaries of the sector, and supporting diverse and flexible career pathways for fitness professionals.

Among those taking part in the panel discussions are Hilary Farmiloe, Project Manager of Aspire InstructAbility and strategic partner and training provider for Matrix Fitness – and Steven Scales, Lead for Local Government Engagement, ukactive, formerly of Matrix.

An evening networking reception – sponsored by Matrix Fitness – will open with the presentation of the annual Quest NBS awards, celebrating the centres and individuals leading the push for a high-quality sport, fitness and activity sector, before providing delegates with a unique opportunity to network with friends and colleagues from across the sector.

Gemma Bonnett, Director of Strategic Marketing EMEA & UK for Matrix, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the CIMSPA conference for the second successive year.

“With all the various challenges the industry faces at present, it’s important to be informed and prepared for the changes ahead. And the CIMSPA conference is a fantastic opportunity for fitness professionals and game-changers to get together to discuss the impact these changes will have on our sector.

“It’s great that Matrix support CIMSPA and the important work they do to change our industry for the better.”

Tara Dillon, Chief Executive Officer, CIMSPA, said: “Matrix’s continued support of our annual conference is a real testament to their commitment to the sector. Matrix believes that the sector is stronger working together.

“Matrix is so much more than a supplier of kit – the company is truly working with and for the sector and CIMSPA and Quest could not be more grateful for their support.”
